Choose the French country style for your kitchen renovation and you’ll enjoy the sensual pleasures of southern France every time you enter your kitchen. A few basic remodelling design principles will give you the popular French country look. Color: Evoke the sun-baked feel of southern France with color. Splash your walls with sunlight, using a classic butter yellow. Bring the sea’s shells indoors with textiles in oyster white. Let a bit of the French sky into your room with carefully selected blue accents. But when remodelling, go lightly with cool colors like blue, green, and greenish-yellows. Overall, the room should stir-up the feel of life in sunny Provence. For this, you need to go for it with the warm colors. Perhaps do a rub-through for the finish. This will let a bit of color peek out for the restoration look, creating some Old World charm. Renovation Materials: As with your color choices, in your selection of materials, you want to bring to mind the natural beauty of southern France.
