Sometimes It Has to Be Kitchen Remodeling
I am a big fan of kitchen cabinet refacing. If you have a yen to change your kitchen, but both your existing layout and cupboard frames are good, kitchen cabinet refacing makes good sense. However, there are times when nothing less than full kitchen remodeling will do.
Why I Couldn't Opt for Kitchen Cabinet Refacing
When we moved into our first house six years ago, we didn't think that much needed doing. After a bathroom remodeling project, window replacement, laminate floor endeavor, and conservatory and kitchen remodeling, I have to admit that we were quite naive! However, we never really intended to undertake a kitchen remodeling, as the rustic kitchen we had inherited suited our old-fashioned tastes quite well.
One night, after hearing scratching, however, I was horrified to discover that we had had mice in one of our unused kitchen cabinets. In this instance, refacing was not an option. Once I had made that decision, I realized that I had never really liked the position of the sink unit either. So it was full steam ahead with the kitchen remodeling!
My Experience of Kitchen Remodeling
I realize I may sound like money has been no object. But with only one full-time worker in the house and three children, our kitchen remodeling project had to be a budget affair. It was and came in at less than $2500! If you want to find out my kitchen remodeling on a budget, you will have to wait until next time.
