Having solid wood oak kitchen cabinets versus veneer will work in your favor when you go to sell your home.

When a Custom Kitchen is Not For You

Seriously, if you don't like to cook, don't spend your money on a custom kitchen. Stock kitchen cabinets will do the trick for you-especially if they are on sale. Kitchen renovations that include new appliances and amenities can make your life much easier, but if you aren't going to use those things, then save the money for your restaurant bills.

The truth of the matter is that you only need to spend what you need on cabinets and you can get some discount cabinets that have excellent quality.
